As an Emergency Radiologist at Geisinger, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality emergency imaging services across Level I and II trauma centers. What You Will Do
- Interpret a full range of imaging modalities, including body and neuro scans
- Provide overnight coverage for two Level I trauma centers and one Level II trauma center
- Work independently using established workflows and subspecialty support
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Utilize Excel to track and analyze data, identifying trends and areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in radiology, attending conferences and workshops as needed
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of hospital policies and procedures
- Participate in peer review and quality assurance activities to ensure high standards of practice
- Provide education and training to junior staff members and students
What We Are Looking For
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
- Board certification or eligibility in radiology
- Excellent interpretive skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Experience working in a trauma center environment, preferably with Level I or II trauma centers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Excel, with experience tracking and analyzing data
