## About the Role Stripe is seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to partner with the People team and provide day-to-day advice on various employment issues.
## Responsibilities - Partner with the People team to provide day-to-day advice on employment issues including recruiting, hiring, performance management, and more - Proactively review employment policies for legal compliance and best practices - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and maintain employment compliance - Support cross-functional stakeholders on strategic global projects
## Requirements - 6-10 years of employment law experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department - Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in balancing legal risks and business needs - Excellent communication and project management skills - Ability to work well on both long and short-term projects - Strong work ethic and ability to deliver results - Proficiency in Excel
