Job Description
About the Role
The Enablement Lead role at Gitlab is a critical position that requires a unique blend of sales enablement expertise, leadership skills, and knowledge of the EMEA market. As a key member of the enablement team, you will be responsible for developing and leading the successful execution of sales enablement programs across the region. This will involve working closely with field leadership, sales teams, and other stakeholders to identify needs, build out plans, and deliver content and training that drives results.The role is remote-based, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United Kingdom. You will report to the Vice President, Enablement & AI Strategy, and will be part of a high-performing team that is passionate about driving innovation and digital transformation.
What You Will Do
- Develop and lead the execution of sales enablement programs to ensure internal and external EMEA customers and partners are equipped to effectively differentiate and sell the GitLab solution
- Partner with field leadership to identify needs, build out plans, and deliver content and training tailored to specific teams and markets
- Scope and build new enablement content, including programs focused on product knowledge, skill development, onboarding, and leadership development
- Collaborate with the enablement content and operations teams to identify and develop core sales training and enablement curriculum for internal and external audiences
- Ensure alignment of sales enablement activities with key internal and external events, such as new product releases and industry trade shows
- Leverage Salesforce, Cornerstone, and other tools to deliver training and educate teams on how to use specific tools in the region
- Develop sales training job aids, supporting materials, and assessments to enhance field effectiveness
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement investments and programs
- Determine opportunities for improving the sales learning experience and identify innovative techniques for delivery
What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrated experience in a software sales or sales enablement role, preferably with expertise in DevOps and/or Open Source
- Ability to continuously meet deadlines and execute on projects with positive impact from stakeholders
- Experience building relationships with sales leaders and their teams
- Working knowledge of sales training technology and methodologies, with demonstrable experience with sales enablement concepts and procedures
- Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- Experience with Salesforce and other sales enablement tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to measure and report on program effectiveness
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities
- Knowledge of the EMEA market and its unique challenges and opportunities
- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies, and their application in sales enablement
- Certification in sales enablement or a related field
