About the Role
The Systems Modeling Intern will play a vital role in supporting the development of sustainable data centers, working closely with the Impact team to model carbon reduction systems and analyze the environmental impact of data centers. What You Will Do
- Support system analysis of low carbon technologies integrated with data centers, including heat-to-power, heat storage, and CO2 capture & utilization
- Develop internal tools to help design sustainable data centers of the future
- Collaborate with the Impact team to model energy systems and develop system optimization tools
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for sustainability improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in sustainable infrastructure and data center design
- Participate in meetings and workshops to discuss project progress and provide input on system design
- Contribute to the development of internal knowledge base and documentation
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes as needed
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (preferably mechanical, aerospace, electrical, computation, or energy systems)
- Previous experience modeling energy systems, with a focus on sustainable infrastructure and data center design
- Familiarity with system optimization tools and cost-benefit analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a willingness to learn and adapt
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, with experience in data analysis and visualization
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

- Previous experience modeling gas turbines, thermodynamic cycles, and fluid networks
- Familiarity with sustainable infrastructure and data center design principles
