About the Role

The Senior Information Developer role at ELEKS is a unique opportunity for technical writers to join a dynamic team and work on exciting projects in the renewable energy sector. As a Senior Information Developer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation and UX writing that meets the needs of clients and stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and develop documentation that conforms to industry standards.

As a Senior Information Developer, you will have the chance to work on a wide range of projects, from user guides and installation guides to release notes and system configuration guides.

What You Will Do

  • Understand product requirements and identify the needs for publications to be developed
  • Identify the client's writing style and write technical documentation that conforms to industry standards
  • Estimate documentation development efforts and agree on task deadlines with the Project Manager or Head of IDO
  • Communicate the status of documentation tasks in progress to ensure timely delivery
  • Interview subject matter experts to obtain ongoing details on projects
  • Create documentation templates for various document outputs
  • Write and edit interface and procedural documentation, including user guides and release notes
  • Take an active or passive part in competence development events of IDO
  • Participate in coaching and mentoring junior staff

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in technical writing or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of software documentation specifics and terminology
  • Understanding of technical documentation development methodology (DDLC) and its interdependence with SDLC
  • Experience in setting up documentation processes and updating documentation according to existing templates
  • Solid experience in creating documentation and templates from scratch
  • Proven experience in UX writing
  • Advanced level of English

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in the renewable energy sector or a related field
  • Knowledge of industry-specific documentation standards and regulations
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools and project management software
  • Certification in technical writing or a related field
