About the Role
The Global AME Logistic Automation and Digitalization Engineer will play a crucial role in leading the development and standardization of logistic technology innovation at HARMAN International. This will involve implementing smart warehouse initiatives, managing automation projects, and driving the company's digital transformation in logistics. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about leveraging technology to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.As a key member of the logistics team, the Engineer will work closely with various stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that drive business growth. The Global AME Logistic Automation and Digitalization Engineer will report to a senior manager and will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving innovation and improvement in logistic processes.
What You Will Do
- Lead the development and implementation of logistic automation projects, including the design, testing, and deployment of new systems and processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that drive business growth
- Analyze complex data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and make informed decisions to drive business outcomes
- Develop and manage budgets for logistic automation projects, and ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and technicians, and ensure that all team members are trained and equipped to perform their roles effectively
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in logistic automation and digitalization, and identify opportunities to leverage new technologies and innovations
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for logistic automation, and ensure that all processes are aligned with the company's overall strategy
- Manage and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of logistic automation systems and equipment
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in automation development and warehouse and logistics management
- Strong technical background, with experience in areas such as robotic process automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Good knowledge of AMRs, warehouse processes, and Team Center usage
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams, with a proven track record of driving innovation and improvement in logistic processes
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their goals
- Experience in managing budgets and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget
Nice to Have
- Experience in working with global teams and managing international projects
- Knowledge of Chinese language and culture, with experience in working in a Chinese business environment
- Experience in using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, with the ability to analyze and manipulate complex data sets
