About the Role
The Engineer Officer role is a critical component of the Canadian Armed Forces, responsible for leading combat readiness and construction projects. What You Will Do
- Construct habitable camps and other infrastructure to support military operations
- Breach minefields and clear obstacles to ensure safe passage
- Use explosives to destroy roads, bridges, and other enemy infrastructure
- Construct bridges and ferries to facilitate troop movement
- Build combat roads and other infrastructure to support military operations
- Dispose of explosives and other hazardous materials safely and efficiently
- Construct obstacles to hinder enemy movement
- Conduct reconnaissance and surveillance to gather intelligence on enemy positions and movements
- Develop and implement plans for combat readiness and construction projects
- Collaborate with other branches of the military to ensure the success of missions
- Provide training and mentorship to junior officers and enlisted personnel

- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or construction management
- Completion of basic officer training and official second language training
