About the Role
The Engineer Quality role at Epiroc is a critical position that ensures the highest safety and quality standards in production. As a key member of the quality team, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, audits, and inspections to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements.The role requires a strong understanding of quality control principles, risk management, and auditing procedures. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a quality function in a production facility.
The Engineer Quality will work closely with the production team to identify and resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and conducting regular audits to monitor performance.
What You Will Do
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Perform in-process and final inspections to guarantee quality standards
- Manage and maintain calibration of measuring and testing equipment
- Identify and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Conduct regular audits to monitor supplier performance
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 standards
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a quality function in a production facility
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, risk management, and auditing procedures
- Experience with CMM operation, CNC turning, and conventional machines
- Knowledge of quality audit procedures and relevant standards
- Basic knowledge of metallurgy and different grades of raw materials
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Lean Principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of FMEA, MSA, and PPAP
- Certification in quality management or auditing
- Experience with supplier audits and process audits
