About the Role

The Engineering Manager, Advanced Signals position at Reddit is a key leadership role responsible for driving the technical vision and strategy for the Ads Advanced Signals team. This team is crucial in powering Reddit's off-platform signals ecosystem, which includes collecting high-quality inbound signals and delivering outbound data products to advertisers and partners. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in building products, APIs, and data integrations that drive revenue and improve advertiser outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in managing teams and driving technical vision. They will also have a deep understanding of the digital ads business and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and lead a team of engineers building products, APIs, and data integrations for collecting and distributing off-platform signals
  • Drive adoption of Reddit's Conversions API and associated integrations by creating strong developer experiences
  • Own a roadmap spanning inbound signals collection and outbound measurement/reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Data Science, Sales, Solutions, and Business Engineering, to improve advertiser outcomes and drive revenue
  • Set team goals and objectives, and track progress toward achieving them
  • Identify and develop talent within the team and provide mentorship and career development opportunities
  • Work with your team to develop processes and tooling that constantly improve the quality of our products and systems
  • Serve as a thought partner to product and upper management to ensure your team's plans align with company goals
  • Participate in and challenge prioritization decisions
  • Communicate your team's work and set expectations with external stakeholders

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong technical background in computer science, with experience in building and managing large-scale systems
  • Experience in managing teams and driving technical vision
  • Strong understanding of the digital ads business and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with APIs, data integrations, and cloud-based technologies
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems

Nice to Have

  • Experience with machine learning and data science technologies
  • Knowledge of the digital marketing ecosystem and the role of off-platform signals
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS or Google Cloud
  • Certification in agile development methodologies or cloud-based technologies
