About the Role
Boostdraft is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead its technical teams and drive the company's digital transformation. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for making key technical decisions, managing projects, and growing your team members. You will be working in a dynamic and agile environment, where innovation and quality are paramount.The role entails designing architecture, writing and debugging code, and taking on people and team management responsibilities. You will be accountable for technical decisions made by your team and will be expected to drive your team and project to maximize outcomes in a timely manner. Your team will be composed of experienced software engineers, and you will be responsible for creating a psychologically safe environment across the company.

What You Will Do
- Design and implement software architectures for digital document editors
- Write and debug code in C#, Rust, and Python
- Manage and grow a team of software engineers
- Make technical decisions and approve decisions made by team members
- Drive projects to maximize outcomes in a timely manner
- Create a psychologically safe environment across the company
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve company goals
- Participate in the recruitment process to hire new team members
- Develop and implement processes to improve code quality and efficiency
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching to team members
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering and team management
- Strong technical skills in C#, Rust, and Python
- Experience with .NET Framework, .NET 8.0, and SQLite
- Knowledge of Amazon RDS, AWS CloudWatch, and Elasticsearch
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment
- Experience with natural language processing and machine learning
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience with federated learning and security preserving NLP
- Knowledge of Japanese language and culture
- Experience working with lawyers and legal documents
- Familiarity with MassChallenge, StartX, and MIT Sandbox
- Experience with big data and log analysis
