Engineering Manager, CRE Services

About the Role

The role matters significantly as it directly impacts the pace at which new capabilities reach the ecosystem. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for shaping the reliability, usability, and evolution of the CRE Service Layer and related developer-facing infrastructure. This involves not only technical expertise but also the ability to influence direction and partner effectively with product leadership in high-ambiguity environments.

What You Will Do

• Lead the Developer Services engineering team, focusing on Functions, Automation, VRF, and the CRE Service Layer.
• Ensure the continuity of delivery while strengthening reliability, product velocity, and team growth.
• Establish and manage a single, clearly prioritized backlog across demanding stakeholders and cross-functional inputs.
• Accelerate iteration cycles based on user feedback to drive product-market fit for CRE capabilities.
• Deliver new service-layer capabilities, including enhancements such as improved workflow management models.
• Lead the migration of legacy products onto CRE infrastructure.
• Develop and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Coach engineers through performance growth and career progression.
• Plan and execute multi-stream engineering initiatives with clear accountability and delivery outcomes.
• Manage complex backlogs and stakeholder expectations across multiple priorities.

• Proven people leadership experience, including managing and developing senior and staff-level engineers.

• Experience managing complex backlogs and stakeholder expectations across multiple priorities.
• Track record of planning and executing multi-stream engineering initiatives with clear accountability and delivery outcomes.
• Ability to coach engineers through performance growth and career progression.
• Experience with blockchain technology and decentralized systems is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
