## What You Will Do - Define and implement the technical vision and strategy for feed relevance, ensuring alignment with Reddit's product and business goals.

• Lead and manage a team of machine learning engineers, focusing on their development and growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and to communicate the work of the feed relevance team.
• Oversee the design, development, and optimization of sophisticated relevance and discovery systems.
• Work closely with platform and infrastructure teams to develop the next generation of AI-powered solutions.
• Maintain high standards for system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Partner with the recruiting team to attract and hire diverse and talented machine learning engineers.
• Develop and manage budgets and resource allocation plans for the team.
• Represent the feed relevance team in technical and business discussions, both internally and externally.

• Deep expertise in machine learning, particularly in transformer-based architectures, sequence models, or Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Strong understanding of recommender systems, including candidate retrieval, ranking, value modeling, ecosystem dynamics, and measurement strategies.
• Ability to develop and communicate a clear, compelling technical strategy that supports broader company objectives.
