About the Role
As an Engineering Manager at Medallion, you will be at the forefront of driving technical direction and leading high-performing teams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve fostering the career growth of your direct reports, shaping the product roadmap, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. You will be working closely with product managers, operation managers, and designers to develop and execute roadmaps that align with the company's mission.Medallion's engineering organization is growing rapidly, and as an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in building product-focused full-stack teams. Your expertise in Salesforce and Excel will be invaluable in driving technical growth and innovation. You will be responsible for leading a team of 5-10 engineers, wholly responsible for a specific product vertical, and will be expected to facilitate an independent, empowered, and high-performing team culture.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of engineers and provide technical mentorship to drive career growth
- Develop and execute roadmaps for your team in collaboration with product managers and designers
- Facilitate an independent, empowered, and high-performing team culture
- Help grow the entire engineering organization by interviewing and making hiring decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
- Drive technical direction and innovation within your team
- Work with leaders across the company to align on product strategy and direction
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
What We Are Looking For
- At least 6 years of engineering experience, including 3+ years of experience in a management role
- Experience in a leadership role at a start-up or fast-growing company
- Passion for building and leading diverse and inclusive engineering teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bias towards action and a proven track record of getting things done
- Active interest and proven experience in developing process, culture, and morale
- Experience with Salesforce and Excel
- Strong technical expertise and ability to drive technical direction
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI tooling and integration
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and agile development methodologies
- Experience with DevOps and continuous integration
