About the Role

The role of Engineering Manager, Security at Recharge is pivotal in ensuring the security and integrity of the company's cloud network infrastructure. This position entails leading a team of engineers focused on security, managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust security measures. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day involvement in code review, network security architecture, and application security. What You Will Do

  • Manage and lead a team of security-focused engineers, identifying and filling team gaps as the company grows.
  • Develop a supportive team culture that fosters collaboration, open communication, and high productivity.
  • Be responsible for the output and quality of the team's work, including hands-on involvement in writing and reviewing code.
  • Continuously improve team processes, adopting agile methodologies and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures.
  • Create and maintain detailed network and security documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all aspects of the platform.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and other security devices.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
  • Lead incident response efforts, maintaining and improving incident response plans.
  • Mentor other engineers on security best practices and configurations.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and apply proactive measures to protect against them.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in network security design and implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, firewall configurations, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure security.
  • Experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
