About the Role
The Engineering Program Manager, Infrastructure role at Stripe is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of software development, infrastructure, and program management. As a key member of the infrastructure team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient and optimized infrastructure solutions. Your primary focus will be on managing programs that enable Stripe to build secure, reliable, and differentiated products.The infrastructure teams at Stripe play a vital role in providing the foundation for the company's products and services. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and building the future of Corporate Technology at Stripe, working closely with engineering teams to identify and prioritize projects, and developing strategies to achieve goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, systems engineering, and program management, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to distill complex information into actionable recommendations.
What You Will Do
- Automate workflows and create self-service opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity
- Implement agentic solutions to enhance the overall infrastructure and technology stack
- Manage new system implementations, including RFPs and data migration
- Deprecate and consolidate low-usage SaaS productivity tools to optimize resource allocation
- Integrate acquired companies' internal systems with Stripe's infrastructure
- Develop and implement security, audit, and compliance programs to ensure the integrity of Stripe's systems
- Scale organizational processes, such as the Program Delivery Lifecycle, to support growth and expansion
- Uplevel the tracking of key results, program updates, and work alignment across products
- Lead program status reviews and prepare regular stakeholder and executive communications
- Interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Stripe to ensure seamless collaboration and communication
- Propose, refine, and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies across Corporate Technology
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, and/or program management experience
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders, teams, and senior leaders
- Proven track record of providing program management during all phases of software development
- Experience with IT and workflow solutions, including workflow automation and self-service tools
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
- Experience with security, audit, and compliance programs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and deadlines
Nice to Have
- Experience with data migration and system integration
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or Java
- Familiarity with Cloud-based infrastructure and services, such as AWS or Azure
- Certification in program management, such as PMP or Agile
- Experience with merger and acquisition integrations
