About the Role
The Engineering Technical Director - Fuel & Services will play a crucial role in leading engineering analysis projects that support Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) fuel, safety, services, and thermal-hydraulic analyses. This position will serve as the primary point of contact between various teams, including installed base engineering, product line leaders, regulatory affairs, and project management, facilitating rapid problem-solving and driving project execution. As a key member of the Fuel and Digital Engineering team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting project specification, estimation, kickoff, execution, and regulatory approval. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, implement new methodologies, and modernize engineering services capabilities. The role will also involve providing technical mentoring and facilitating knowledge sharing to support the development of engineering staff and knowledge management.What You Will Do
- Lead engineering analysis projects to support BWR fuel, safety, services, and thermal-hydraulic analyses
- Provide day-to-day oversight of development and delivery activities, including schedule maintenance and execution support
- Partner with Technical Leaders and Controlled Title Holders to execute solutions that address complex technical issues
- Develop adaptable, future-ready solutions that support engineers and evolving digital engineering needs
- Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and resource planning
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed
- Monitor project performance, track KPIs, and report progress to stakeholders and customers
- Address variances proactively to maintain project health and delivery commitments
- Develop specialized knowledge in nuclear energy and remain current on technical developments in the field
- Use technical expertise and data analysis to support project decisions and recommendations
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, with 5 years in the nuclear industry and/or project delivery experience
- Strong commitment to promoting a strong nuclear safety culture and prioritizing quality and safety over delivery
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable solutions
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of engineering, product line leadership, and project management
- Strong personal commitment, accountability, and determination
- Ability to communicate with credibility and confidence
- Experience with Excel and other relevant engineering tools
