About the Role
The English Subtitle Specialist role at MrBeast is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the creation of high-quality subtitles for weekly YouTube videos. As an integral part of the localization team, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and delivering English subtitles, ensuring linguistic accuracy and compliance with standard subtitling rules. The role requires a native English speaker with experience in subtitling or transcription, who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is eager to experiment with unconventional tools.The English Subtitle Specialist will work closely with the CreatorGlobal leadership team to ensure prompt delivery of subtitles and will contribute to the development of a new subtitling workflow. What You Will Do
- Create English subtitles for weekly YouTube content, ensuring linguistic accuracy and compliance with standard subtitling rules
- Receive feedback from team members and leadership, and effectively implement feedback into revised subtitles
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks such as subtitle versioning, conforming subtitles to new video references, subtitle and transcript QC
- Learn and adapt to a continuously evolving proprietary tool that mirrors familiar subtitle software and produces specialized formatting
- Maintain a flexible work schedule and deliver subtitle files within tight turnaround windows following video delivery
- Communicate clearly with CreatorGlobal leadership to flag tool issues, inconsistencies, or workflow improvements
- Contribute to the development of a new subtitling workflow and apply subtitling foundation in an evolving production environment
- Ensure prompt delivery of subtitles to CreatorGlobal Leadership
- Handle all steps of the subtitling process, including subtitle QC and transcript amendment
What We Are Looking For
- Native English speaker
- Professional subtitling experience or experience with transcription, dialogue lists, dubbing, or AD script writing
- Flexible schedule with availability to pick up late requests and ability to start on tasks immediately upon video delivery
- Comfort working with proprietary or non-standard tools
- Curiosity and cross-disciplinary interest: experience or genuine enthusiasm for adjacent fields like coding, motion graphics, media production, or UX
- Familiarity with subtitle formats beyond SRT, such as ASS, VTT, or formats with embedded style metadata
- Experience with subtitling or video tools, such as OOONA, Subtitle Edit, Aegisub, Adobe Premiere, or DaVinci Resolve
- Ability to troubleshoot independently and escalate issues clearly
- Attention to detail and reliability in delivering consistent, quality work
Nice to Have
- Experience with coding or programming languages
- Knowledge of motion graphics or media production
- Familiarity with UX principles and human-centered design
- Certification in subtitling or transcription
- Experience working with a remote team or in a distributed work environment
