About the Role
The Enterprise Account Executive role at Gitlab is a key position that connects the company with customers in the CIS region. As the primary point of contact, you will be responsible for managing a broad book of business, guiding small and large teams as they adopt and expand GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform. You will report to an Area Sales Manager and work closely with various teams, including business development, marketing, and technical teams.Day-to-day, you will be involved in shaping the customer's journey, documenting buying criteria and processes, and maintaining an accurate and evidence-based pipeline. You will also be expected to analyze wins and losses, contribute to root cause analyses, and share lessons learned with account managers and other teams.
What You Will Do
- Manage the full sales cycle for prospects, from discovery and solution alignment through negotiation and close
- Support prospects by clearly articulating GitLab's DevSecOps value proposition and aligning it to customer business outcomes
- Document and maintain accurate buying criteria, buying processes, next steps, and owners to ensure a reliable, evidence-based pipeline
- Contribute to improving our sales handbook and processes by documenting best practices and opportunities for refinement
- Provide account leadership and direction across pre- and post-sales, partnering closely with technical teams and customer success
- Represent the voice of the customer by contributing product feedback and ideas to our public issue tracker
- Analyze wins and losses, and contribute to root-cause analyses and share lessons learned with account managers, marketing, and technical teams
- Report to an Area Sales Manager and own a broad book of businesses, from new prospects to growing existing accounts across the CIS region
What We Are Looking For
- Proven success in software sales, ideally in a mid-market or enterprise context, managing a varied book of business
- Ability to guide customers through the full buying process, from discovery to close
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps and its applications in the CIS region
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with Adjust or similar tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and draw insights
- Russian language skills are required for this role
