Job Description

About the Role

As an Enterprise Account Executive at Gitlab, you will be the primary connection between the company and its customers in the CIS region. Your key responsibility will be to sell and expand the adoption of Gitlab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform to organizations with up to 4,000 team members. You will own a broad book of business, managing a wide range of opportunity sizes, from small, fast-growing teams to more complex projects. You will report to an Area Sales Manager and work closely with business development, marketing, and technical teams to drive growth and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a deep understanding of the DevSecOps landscape, as well as the ability to articulate Gitlab's value proposition and align it with customer business outcomes. You will be expected to manage the full sales cycle, from discovery and solution alignment to negotiation and close. Your expertise in guiding customers through the full buying cycle will be essential in driving revenue growth and expanding Gitlab's presence in the CIS region.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a broad book of business across the CIS region, including new prospects and existing accounts
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand Gitlab's presence in the region
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with business development, marketing, and technical teams to drive growth and customer satisfaction
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from discovery and solution alignment to negotiation and close
  • Analyze wins and losses, contributing to root cause analyses and sharing lessons learned with account managers, marketing, and technical teams
  • Document and maintain accurate buying criteria, buying processes, next steps, and owners to ensure a reliable, evidence-based pipeline
  • Contribute to improving Gitlab's sales handbook and processes by documenting best practices and opportunities for refinement
  • Provide account leadership and direction across pre- and post-sales, partnering closely with technical teams and customer success

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven success in software sales, ideally in a mid-market or enterprise context, managing a varied book of business
  • Ability to guide customers through the full buying cycle, with a strong understanding of the sales process and customer needs
  • Fluency in Russian, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of the DevSecOps landscape and Gitlab's value proposition
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction
  • Experience working with technical teams and customer success, with a strong understanding of the importance of collaboration and communication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze wins and losses and contribute to root cause analyses
