About the Role

The Enterprise Account Executive position at Plaid is a critical role that involves driving sales growth and expanding the company's customer base. As an experienced sales professional, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, and ensuring the successful onboarding of new clients. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales engineering, product, and marketing, to develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with Plaid's overall business objectives.

The role entails a deep understanding of the fintech industry, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will be expected to stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies that may impact Plaid's business. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets, while also contributing to the development of the company's sales strategy and best practices.

What You Will Do

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, research, and outreach efforts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with Plaid's overall business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales engineering, product, and marketing, to ensure successful onboarding of new clients
  • Conduct needs assessments and provide solutions-based sales approaches to prospective clients
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies that may impact Plaid's business
  • Provide feedback and insights to the sales team and other stakeholders on market conditions, customer needs, and sales performance
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Plaid's products and services, as well as the fintech industry as a whole
  • Participate in sales planning, forecasting, and pipeline management activities

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the fintech or technology industry
  • Proven track record of success in sales, with a strong emphasis on enterprise sales
  • Strong understanding of the fintech industry, including trends, technologies, and key players
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insights
  • Experience working with sales tools and technologies, such as CRM systems and sales automation platforms
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and articulate the value proposition of Plaid's products and services

  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or Java
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
  • Certification in sales or a related field, such as CSP or CPSA
