About the Role

The Enterprise Project Engineering Manager is a critical position at GE Vernova, responsible for coordinating and managing the planning, coordination, and execution of project engineering deliverables for large-scale, cross-business projects. This role requires a deep understanding of technical systems, including mechanical, electrical, controls, and digital systems, as well as the ability to manage interfaces across multiple technology domains and business units. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, working closely with Consulting Services and Business Units to ensure seamless integration of systems and delivery of projects to specification, budget, and schedule.

As a key member of the Projects Coordination Office (PCO), the Enterprise Project Engineering Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of projects. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and operations teams, to identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and capitalize on opportunities. The role will also involve developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, EPC partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure that project deliverables meet their needs and expectations.

The Enterprise Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of project delivery, including the coordination of engineering activities, the management of deliverables, and the resolution of technical issues. This will require strong technical expertise, as well as excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate and project manage all engineering activities for enterprise-level, multi-technology projects
  • Ensure timely completion of all engineering deliverables, including system studies, PFDs, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, control system architecture, datasheets, and interface control documents
  • Coordinate the cross-business project engineering teams through assigned discipline engineers, BU project engineers, and consulting leads
  • Develop and maintain the overall engineering execution plan across Business Units, Consulting Services, as well as resource allocation and schedule tracking across multiple disciplines and geographies
  • Manage technical interfaces between business units, product lines, and EPC partners to ensure system compatibility and alignment with contractual commitments
  • Identify and mitigate technical interface risks, ensuring adherence to codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and grid interconnection rules
  • Serve as the primary PCO technical liaison on cross-business interface activities for customers, EPCs, and internal leadership
  • Develop and maintain Level 1 and Level 2 commissioning execution plans, schedules, resource allocations, and readiness checklists
  • Collaborate with the Planning Manager for Integrated Projects to ensure effective commissioning planning and execution
  • Drive standardization of cross-business engineering processes, tools, and templates across the enterprise to improve efficiency, quality, and knowledge sharing

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Systems Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience in the power generation or energy sector, with exposure to enterprise-level or multi-business projects
  • Proven track record in cross-functional collaboration and integrated system design
  • Strong understanding of power generation technologies, energy storage systems, and grid interconnection requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing multi-discipline teams in global, matrixed organizations
  • Demonstrated experience with power transformers, including specification, application, testing, and failure modes
  • Strong working knowledge of medium- and high-voltage switchgear design, protection, and operation
  • Familiarity with grid codes, utility interconnection requirements, and applicable standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI, NERC, NEC)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with project management tools and software, such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project
  • Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C++
