About the Role
The Enterprise Sales Engineer role at Datadog is a unique opportunity to leverage technical expertise to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction. As a key member of the sales team, you will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and develop tailored solutions to meet their needs. With a strong focus on solution selling, you will be responsible for articulating the value proposition of Datadog's products and services to customers and partners.The sales engineering function is critical to Datadog's success, and as such, you will be part of a highly skilled and collaborative team. You will work closely with the product team to provide feedback and insights on customer needs and market trends, ensuring that Datadog's products and services remain competitive and innovative.
What You Will Do
- Partner with the Sales team to develop and execute sales strategies that meet customer needs and drive revenue growth
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers and partners
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners to identify new sales opportunities and expand existing ones
- Collaborate with the product team to provide feedback and insights on customer needs and market trends
- Develop and deliver technical briefings and presentations to customers and partners
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in CRM
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new sales opportunities and stay ahead of the competition
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies and campaigns
- Develop and deliver sales enablement materials and training to the Sales team
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering or related role, preferably in the technology or software industry
- Strong technical skills, including programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby
- Experience with cloud-based monitoring and security solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions
- Experience working with customers and partners to develop and execute sales strategies
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
