About the Role

The Enterprise Sales Engineer position at Samsara offers a unique opportunity to join a pioneer in the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform that enables organizations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to improve their operations. As part of a diverse team, you will work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions using Samsara's products. This role is critical in helping modernize essential industries through the application of cutting-edge IoT solutions.

Day-to-day, you will be engaged in customer-facing activities, including discoveries, demonstrations, and value assessments, aimed at showcasing how Samsara's products can solve common obstacles in their industry. Your work will directly contribute to making supply chains cleaner, more efficient, and productive by creating safer roadways, reducing fuel consumption and emissions, and providing a consolidated platform for connecting operations.

What You Will Do

  • Become an expert on Samsara products and their applications in driving digital transformation for physical operations.
  • Articulate to prospects how businesses like theirs use Samsara today to solve industry-specific challenges.
  • Deliver work products that facilitate deal closures, such as discoveries, demonstrations, value assessments, and proof of concept implementations.
  • Walk installers through scenarios, explaining best practices for installing Samsara products and helping build deployment plans.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the application of IoT hardware and sensors, hands-on hardware installation strategies, and managing data collection over carrier networks.
  • Present a robust cloud infrastructure and build third-party system integrations via Samsara's open API to ensure the best technical solution for customers.
  • Engage in travel up to 50% of the time for customer meetings and installations, with preference for proximity to an international airport.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to share best practices and focus on winning as a team.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and professional development to stay updated on the latest IoT technologies and industry trends.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in sales engineering, preferably in the IoT or technology sector.
