About the Role
As an Enterprise Sales Executive at Datadog, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and expanding the company's presence in the market. You will be responsible for targeting and closing new business with large, strategic customers and prospects, and delivering Datadog's innovative solutions to meet their complex needs. This role requires a deep understanding of the cloud computing market and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles.The successful candidate will be a skilled sales professional with a proven track record of success in selling into large enterprises. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, creativity, and innovation, and will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product teams.

What You Will Do
- Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies and run an efficient sales process
- Maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, including existing relationships and aspirational contacts
- Develop a deep comprehension of customers' businesses and deliver Datadog's solutions to meet their complex needs
- Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI
- Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory
- Demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solution
- Have an intuitive sense of necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation
- Identify robust sets of business drivers behind all opportunities
- Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of closing experience in sales, with a mix of field selling within mid-market or enterprise
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of M+ and operating with an average deal size of00k+
- Ability to demonstrate methodology to prospect and build pipeline on your own
- Experience working for an innovative tech company, preferably in SaaS, IT infrastructure, or a similar field
- Experience selling into large Fortune 1000 companies with the ability to win new logos
- Strong understanding of the cloud computing market and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to sit up to 4 hours and travel via auto, train, or air up to 70% of the time
Nice to Have
- Experience with sales tools, such as CRM software and sales analytics platforms
- Knowledge of cloud computing and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with Datadog's solutions and the company's value proposition
- Certification in sales or a related field, such as MEDDIC or Command of the Message
