About the Role
The Enterprise Sales Executive position at Datadog is a key role focused on identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with the company's largest and most strategic customers and prospects. This involves uncovering the challenges these organizations face as they operate in or migrate to cloud environments and delivering the appropriate Datadog solutions to address these challenges. What You Will Do
- Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies to identify new business opportunities and run an efficient sales process.
- Maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, including existing relationships and aspirational contacts.
- Develop a deep comprehension of the customer's business to identify their pain points and deliver tailored solutions.
- Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI.
- Handle existing customer expectations while expanding the reach and depth into the assigned territory.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness in the face of challenges that defy easy solutions.
- Have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation.
- Identify the robust set of business drivers behind all opportunities.
- Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency.
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 3+ years of closing experience in field selling within mid-market or enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed direct sales goals of M+ with an average deal size of00k+.
- Demonstrated methodology to prospect and build a pipeline independently.
- Experience working for an innovative tech company, preferably in SaaS, IT infrastructure, or a similar field.
- A track record of selling into large Fortune 1000 companies with the ability to win new logos.
- Ability to travel regularly to client sites within the area and other regions as required by business needs.
- Proficiency in Excel as a key tool for sales analysis and reporting.
Nice to Have
- Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC and Command of the Message.
- Knowledge of cloud computing and monitoring solutions.
- Familiarity with sales tools and CRM systems.
