About the Role
The Environmental Health and Safety Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of employees and the environment at The Lunch Bag. This is a remote position that requires strong digital skills to collaborate with the team, manage safety protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of EHS principles and be able to analyze data to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.As an integral part of the team, the EHS Officer will work closely with various stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance. This role will involve developing and implementing EHS policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and are equipped to perform their duties safely.

What You Will Do
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with the team to promote a culture of safety and compliance
- Manage safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Analyze data to identify trends and develop strategies to improve EHS performance
- Develop and manage EHS budgets and forecasts
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and contractors
- Develop and maintain EHS records and reports
- Provide EHS training and guidance to employees
- Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in EHS or a related field
- Strong knowledge of EHS principles and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a distributed team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with EHS management systems and software
- Bachelor's degree in EHS or a related field
- Certification in EHS, such as OSHA or ISO 14001
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
