About the Role
The Epic Systems Analyst role at SSM Health is a critical position that requires a broad subject matter expert with a deep understanding of Epic functionality and integrated third-party applications. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for identifying best practices for the business and working closely with stakeholders to define technical system enhancements and deliver business results.The role involves conducting research on possible solutions, making recommendations based on findings, and developing detailed analysis for proposals that outline feasibility, scalability, and costs. You will also suggest, design, test, implement, and evaluate solutions, ensuring that they meet the business needs and are aligned with the company's goals.

You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure that the Epic systems and applications are optimized and aligned with business objectives.
What You Will Do
- Contribute to service line research for business needs and translate into technical enhancements necessary for configuration and business process changes
- Develop proposals that outline feasibility and costs, and present them to stakeholders
- Code complex functions, including building application tables and reports for multiple Epic applications
- Test build to ensure quality delivery to business partners
- Implement and stabilize core business applications, researching application infrastructure needs, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases
- Proactively identify and solve complex problems, using innovative methods to think beyond existing solutions
- Research and recommend best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance
- Analyze, prioritize, and organize technical requirement specifications using data, diagrams, and flowcharts to inform decision making
- Lead functional teams or projects in a project management role with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
- Plan and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integrated issues crossing applications and work with vendors to solve issues
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent years of experience and education
- Three years' relevant experience with Epic functionality, design, configuration, and technical environment concepts/functions
- Experience in Epic builds required
- Epic certified or accredited in one or more modules
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
Nice to Have
- Experience with integrated third-party applications and systems
- Knowledge of healthcare operations and clinical workflows
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies
- Certification in ITIL or other relevant certifications
