About the Role
The Equipment Service Technician position at Henry Schein is a critical role that involves providing repair services to customers in a professional and courteous manner. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing complex repair cases, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that customers receive excellent service. You will work closely with the supervisor to develop your skills and knowledge, and will be expected to work independently and manage all on-site installation, repair, and maintenance tasks.The dental industry is a rapidly evolving field, with new technologies and procedures being introduced all the time. As a technician, you will need to be able to adapt to these changes and stay up-to-date with the latest developments. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members, and provide timely and detailed service reports.
What You Will Do
- Provide repair services to customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Manage complex repair cases and troubleshoot issues
- Work independently and manage all on-site installation, repair, and maintenance tasks
- Develop and maintain product knowledge and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Provide timely and detailed service reports
- Manage and maintain proper levels of inventory in the van
- Assist with other junior technicians' assignments as required
- Attend all required training and comply with all OSHA regulations
- Submit all job-related paperwork within the required timeframes
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in the dental industry, with a strong mechanical background and excellent customer service skills
- Intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and manage complex repair cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including Excel
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- High school education, vocational training, and/or on-the-job training
Nice to Have
- Associates degree or technical school certification
- Experience with digital x-ray and CAD/CAM software
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and guidelines
- Experience with Concur, eTime, and RMA's
- Certification in a related field, such as dental technology
