What You Will Do

  • Complete all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks under the supervision of a Lead Technician or Project Coordinator.
  • Follow proper troubleshooting steps to diagnose errors and determine the most appropriate solutions.
  • Understand customer requirements and make recommendations to optimize the customer experience.
  • Manage inventory levels in the van, ensuring that all necessary parts and tools are readily available.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Attend all required training sessions, including Henry Schein Dental Career Development training and specific manufacturer technical training, to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations and utilize personal protective equipment when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and dispatchers, ensuring that all are informed of the progress of assignments.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner and submit them for billing, ensuring that all paperwork is accurate and completed within the required timeframes.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 2 years of field service experience, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical background and customer service experience.
  • High school education, with vocational training and/or on-the-job training preferred.
  • Associates degree or Technical School Certification is highly valued.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Independent self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professionalism, accuracy, and detail-orientation are essential.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
