Job Description
About the Role
The Equity & Compensation Analyst plays a critical role in the administration and continuous improvement of Ancestry's compensation and equity programs. This role requires a deep understanding of compensation structures, equity programs, and regulatory compliance. The analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders, including HR and Finance, to ensure timely issue resolution and high service quality for employees.As a key member of the team, the Equity & Compensation Analyst will be responsible for analyzing program performance and providing data-driven recommendations to align with company strategy, market benchmarks, and business needs. This role combines operational execution and analytical insight to ensure compensation programs are competitive and well understood by employees.
The Equity & Compensation Analyst will also partner with external vendors to analyze program performance and identify opportunities for improvement. This will involve managing relationships with external parties, including accounting and legal teams, to execute processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
What You Will Do
- Administer the company's compensation program, including annual compensation cycle execution and compensation structure integrity
- Coordinate with HR and Finance for timely issue resolution and high service quality for employees
- Support administration of the company's stock incentive plan, including grant issuance and share pool oversight
- Manage compensation administration and visualization systems, including platforms such as Pave, Workday, or ADP
- Contribute to configuration, system updates, and automation of workflows to improve operational efficiency
- Analyze internal and external compensation trends and employee engagement data to assess program effectiveness
- Develop reports and dashboards to inform leadership decisions related to compensation strategy, cost management, and program design
- Identify opportunities to enhance transparency, understanding, and communications, and increase employee experience with compensation and equity awards
- Serve as a point of contact for HR Business Partner and employee questions regarding compensation and equity programs
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in compensation and equity administration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Proficiency in Excel and HR systems, including compensation administration and visualization systems
- Experience with data analysis and reporting, including the development of dashboards and metrics
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and industry trends in compensation and equity
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Nice to Have
- Experience with Pave, Workday, or ADP
- Certification in compensation and equity administration, such as CCP or CECP
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of accounting and financial principles, including GAAP and financial reporting
