About the Role

The Estimator Assistant role at Teamified is a pivotal position that supports the estimating and sales team in delivering high-quality, design-driven fabrication for residential and commercial projects. This role is ideal for someone with approximately 2+ years of relevant experience who is looking to expand their skills in construction estimating, take-offs, and pricing support. The successful candidate will work closely with senior estimators, following established workflows, templates, and pricing logic to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely estimates.

As part of the Teamified team, the Estimator Assistant will be contributing to the company's mission of uplifting the way organizations build and manage their remote teams through great working relationships, trust, integrity, culture, and hiring processes. Teamified currently has over 200 engineers, testers, product managers, and more working across 20+ partners, making it a dynamic and collaborative environment for growth.

The role involves working on exciting projects, interpreting drawings, performing quantity take-offs, and preparing draft estimates and quotes for architectural metalwork packages. The Estimator Assistant will also be responsible for entering and managing estimate data in the company's ERP system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.

What You Will Do

  • Perform quantity take-offs from architectural drawings using Bluebeam to identify metalwork scope items.
  • Review drawings to identify metalwork scope items and prepare draft estimates and quotes for architectural metalwork packages.
  • Enter and manage estimate data in the company's ERP system to generate client quotes.
  • Apply existing pricing templates, presets, and product logic to ensure consistency in estimates.
  • Complete internal checks before estimates are reviewed to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Provide general support to the sales and estimating team as required, including updating and maintaining product libraries, presets, and estimating templates.
  • Collaborate with senior estimators and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's estimating systems and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in construction estimating and pricing.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, take-offs, or pricing support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to perform complex calculations and data analysis.
  • Experience with Bluebeam (measurements, markups, take-offs) and the ability to read architectural drawings independently.
  • Familiarity with ERP or estimating software (Jobman or similar), with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Good written English communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports and estimates.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and within structured processes, with flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Experience supporting sales teams in construction or manufacturing, with a strong understanding of the sales process and customer needs.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience working remotely with international teams, with a strong understanding of cultural differences and communication strategies.
  • Experience with design and fabrication software, such as CAD or BIM, with the ability to interpret and prepare technical drawings.
  • Certification in construction estimating or a related field, such as a degree in engineering or architecture.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, with the ability to prepare complex data visualizations.
