About the Role
The Events Manager role at Openai is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that is revolutionizing the way we approach artificial intelligence. As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for managing high-impact events that showcase the company's mission and values. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. You will be working closely with the Enterprise Events Lead to support the planning and execution of events, and will be expected to take ownership of various aspects of the event, including operations, vendor coordination, and guest experience.The Events team at Openai plays a critical role in bringing the company's mission to life through high-impact experiences. What You Will Do
- Manage high-profile events from start to finish, including planning, coordination, and execution
- Build and maintain project timelines, tracking milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and deadlines
- Source, negotiate with, and coordinate vendors, including catering, AV, and creative production teams
- Own attendee registration, check-in, and pre- and post-event communications
- Track budgets, invoices, and spend against targets, maintaining meticulous financial records
- Coordinate across design, procurement, security, vendors, and internal stakeholders to align execution with strategy and brand guidelines
- Implement safety and security protocols to protect attendee well-being and meet compliance expectations
- Analyze event metrics, attendee feedback, and key learnings to improve future events and measure ROI
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Events Lead to develop and implement event strategies
- Conduct site visits and ensure that all event details are taken care of
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of event production experience across end-to-end planning, onsite execution, and post-event analysis
- Strong ownership of guest experience, front-of-house operations, and vendor coordination for high-profile corporate events
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, detail-heavy environment with meticulous planning and creative problem-solving
- Tech-savvy operator fluent on Mac and event software systems such as Airtable, Luma, Swoogo, Google Sheets, or similar tools
- Passion for Openai's mission and excitement about showcasing AI technology through impactful event experiences
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

- Familiarity with event management software and tools
- Certification in event planning or a related field
