Job Description

About the Role

The Executive Assistant role at Ramp is a critical support function within the engineering organization. As a seasoned executive assistant, you will partner closely with the Chief of Staff to the CTO to provide high-level administrative support to senior leaders. Your expertise in calendar management, technical programs, and communication will be essential in enabling the success of the engineering team. You will work closely with first-time managers and exceptional engineers to shape how they work with you, building the foundation for a productive and efficient working relationship.

The engineering organization at Ramp is a large, fast-moving team that requires an executive assistant who can think on their feet and navigate complex technical environments. You will need to be proactive, flexible, and able to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously. Your goal will be to provide seamless support to the engineering leadership, ensuring that they can focus on high-priority tasks and drive the company's growth and innovation.

Ramp is committed to building a culture of innovation and collaboration. As an executive assistant, you will be an integral part of this culture, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive results and achieve shared goals.

What You Will Do

  • Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to the CTO to support engineering leadership across a large, multi-team organization
  • Own complex calendar management across multiple Engineering executives, with a strong instinct for protecting time and enabling deep work
  • Act as a connective layer across technical programs — tracking deliverables, flagging gaps, and keeping leadership informed without adding overhead
  • Actively coach and orient engineering leaders who are new to working with EA support — helping them build the habits and structures that make the partnership work
  • Establish clear operating norms with each leader you support: how to delegate, what to hand off, and how to communicate so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Coordinate recruiting logistics, candidate pipelines, and interview schedules across high-volume engineering hiring
  • Support planning and execution of engineering offsites, all-hands, team events, and leadership working sessions
  • Draft and manage communications on behalf of executives including technical team updates and cross-functional alignment
  • Manage budgets and spend for engineering leadership events and team programs
  • Use AI and automation tools to eliminate repetitive work and create leverage for yourself and your executives
  • Serve as backup EA support to the CTO when primary coverage is unavailable

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience supporting senior executives, with a track record that demonstrates increasing scope and complexity
  • Confidence and credibility to work with first-time leaders — you know how to educate upward and shape a working relationship, not just react to one
  • Genuine curiosity about software and a natural comfort in technical environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with calendar management, technical programs, and communication tools

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools
  • Certification in executive assistance or a related field

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Opportunity to work with a fast-growing and innovative company
  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options
  • Access to cutting-edge technology and tools
  • Recognition and reward for outstanding performance

How to Stand Out

  • Develop a strong understanding of calendar management tools and technical programs to stand out in this role
  • Highlight your experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams in your application
  • Be prepared to discuss your approach to building strong relationships with first-time managers and exceptional engineers
  • Showcase your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Research Ramp's company culture and values to demonstrate your alignment with the organization's mission and vision
  • Prepare to discuss your experience with AI and automation tools, and how you can leverage these to create leverage for yourself and your executives
