About the Role

What You Will Do
- Conduct comprehensive investigations of assigned claims, gathering all relevant information and determining coverage and validity of claims
- Prepare detailed reports, including findings, recommendations, and settlements
- Negotiate settlements with insured parties, claimants, and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims, using company custom computer systems
- Collaborate with internal teams, including field adjusters, to ensure efficient and effective claim handling
- Communicate with clients, providing updates on claim status and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Identify and escalate complex claim issues to senior management or specialized teams as needed
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, including changes in legislation, regulations, and best practices
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge
What We Are Looking For
- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as insurance, business, or law
- Bilingual (French and English) with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Obtained or working towards a claims adjuster designation (e.g., PAA)
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required
- 3-5 years of experience in claims adjusting, insurance, or a related field
- Proven expertise in claim investigation, analysis, and negotiation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple files
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

- Experience with claims management software and systems
- Knowledge of insurance regulations and legislation, including provincial and federal laws
