About the Role
The External Communications Manager will play a crucial role in shaping how Iterable's story is perceived by the press, analysts, customers, and the broader market. This high-impact position involves designing and executing communications campaigns that advance business objectives while reinforcing Iterable's position as a category-defining AI company. The successful candidate will craft narratives about Iterable's mission, technology, and market momentum, then bring them to life through major announcements, media moments, analyst interactions, and thought-leadership platforms.As a key partner to the Director of Communications, the External Communications Manager will support senior stakeholders on external visibility while maintaining a hands-on approach to day-to-day storytelling and execution. This role is ideal for a skilled communications professional who can balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute external communications strategies that elevate Iterable's brand and clearly communicate its story to press, analysts, customers, and partners
- Create strategic messaging, talking points, and briefing materials for major company announcements and leadership communications across investor, media, enterprise, and industry audiences
- Lead day-to-day PR efforts, including story mining, pitch development, press release drafting, and proactive outreach that results in thoughtful, high-impact coverage
- Build and manage relationships with tier-1 business, technology, and industry media, as well as influential newsletters, podcasts, and creators
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to stay up-to-date on company news, product developments, and market trends
- Support the development of thought leadership platforms for Iterable's executives and subject matter experts
- Conduct media training for executives and other spokespersons as needed
- Provide communications support for product launches, company announcements, and other key initiatives
- Measure and report on the success of external communications efforts, providing insights and recommendations for future campaigns
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in external communications, public relations, or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications campaigns that drive business results
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging
- Strong relationships with media professionals, analysts, and other key stakeholders
- Experience working with executive leaders and other high-profile spokespersons
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to measure and report on communications effectiveness
- Familiarity with the technology and digital marketing industries, with a passion for staying up-to-date on the latest trends and developments

- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment

- Certifications in public relations, communications, or a related field
