Job Description

About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at Stakefish, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the company's blockchain networks and protocols. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include improving the current infrastructure, focusing on security, automation, and monitoring. You will also have the opportunity to dive deep into new blockchain protocols, run testnets, and build secure and scalable infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with ambiguity, able to take charge and get things done despite the unknowns.

The DevOps team at Stakefish is responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the company's infrastructure. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with the development team to identify and resolve issues, and implement new features and technologies. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining system procedural and technical documentation, and staying up-to-date with the latest best practices in peer-to-peer networking security.

What You Will Do

  • Build secure and reliable infrastructure to monitor, detect, and mitigate performance and security issues
  • Perform system administration activities for Linux servers, including routine, proactive daily management of the health, stability, and availability of system infrastructure
  • Create and maintain system procedural and technical documentation
  • Stay up-to-date and build on peer-to-peer networking security best practices
  • Create, maintain, and communicate threat models and risk assessments for all systems
  • Design secure networks, systems, and application architectures
  • Set up and maintain software in both data centers and cloud environments
  • Build automation and CI/CD processes and tools
  • Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud deployment technologies
  • Collaborate with the development team to identify and resolve issues, and implement new features and technologies

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience as a DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure engineer
  • Ability to program in one or more languages, such as Python, GoLang, Bash, or Javascript
  • Experience managing server infrastructures with high availability requirements
  • Deep understanding of sockets, full networking stack, and Linux security
  • Knowledge of building automation and CI/CD processes and tools
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and other cloud deployment technologies
  • Flexibility, teamwork, and ability to work with ambiguity
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • BSc/BA degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
