About the Role
The Facility Maintenance Technician role at PriceSmart is a pivotal position that ensures the smooth operation of the facility. This involves a wide range of responsibilities, from constructing and repairing fixtures and equipment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and security. The successful candidate will be part of a team that prioritizes preventative maintenance, reducing downtime and ensuring that all aspects of the facility are functioning optimally. This role matters because it directly impacts the customer experience and the overall efficiency of the facility.Day-to-day, the technician will engage in a variety of tasks, from attending to minor and major upkeep of defective equipment to ensuring the cleanliness of the warehouse floor area. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively is crucial, as is the ability to communicate clearly with other team members.

What You Will Do
- Construct and repair fixtures, structures, and equipment within the facility.
- Prepare and execute the preventive maintenance schedule for all warehouse equipment and fixtures.
- Attend to minor and major upkeep of defective equipment.
- Conduct weekly fogging as part of maintenance routines.
- Adhere to all prevention, safety, and security regulations and procedures.
- Assist in special club projects such as marketing, banners, and installation of accessories.
- Comply with the maintenance and repairs of the facilities and the Club.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse floor area.
- Monitor the STP Operation.
- Remove trash during store hours and closing time.
- Secure equipment, fixtures, spare parts, and tools.
What We Are Looking For
- Five (5) CSEC subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Diploma or Trade Certificate in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Maintenance, Building Services Maintenance, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (HVAC), or Plumbing.
- Valid General Driver’s License.
- Forklift Certification (an asset).
- 2-5 years of experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a similar technical role.
- Experience maintaining commercial buildings, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, or retail operations.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

- Previous experience with digital tools and systems used in facility maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety and security protocols beyond the basic requirements.
- Experience in a role that required continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies or processes.
