Fashion Designer - Remote

## About the Role As a Fashion Designer at Remote VA, you will be responsible for creating original and innovative designs that cater to the latest fashion trends. Your day-to-day tasks will include developing creative design concepts, creating detailed technical drawings, and overseeing the production process. You will be working closely with a team of designers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure that the design vision is realized.

The role of a Fashion Designer is crucial in the fashion industry, as it requires a deep understanding of fashion trends, fabrics, and color theory. You will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends and to create designs that are both stylish and functional.

You will be reporting to the Design Manager and will be working collaboratively with the design team to create cohesive and stylish collections.

## What You Will Do - Develop creative design concepts based on current fashion trends and target market needs - Create detailed technical drawings and patterns using CAD software - Select fabrics, embellishments, color, and style for each garment - Collaborate with other designers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure the design vision is realized - Oversee the fitting, adjustments, and final modifications of prototypes - Present design ideas and collections to stakeholders - Conduct research to stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends and technologies - Create and maintain a strong portfolio of your work - Participate in design meetings and brainstorming sessions - Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and efficient production

## What We Are Looking For - Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fashion design, with a strong portfolio - Proficiency in CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or AutoCAD - Excellent sense of fashion trends, fabrics, and color theory - Strong sketching and illustration skills - Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality, unique designs - Effective communication and teamwork skills - Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects

## Nice to Have - Experience in sustainable fashion design - Knowledge of pattern making and garment construction - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
