About the Role
The FBS Director of Business Transformation plays a critical role in connecting business and IT, driving innovation and efficiency across the organization. This position requires a unique blend of business acumen, technical knowledge, and leadership skills. As a key member of the team, the Director will work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that drive business growth.The role is part of the Farmer Business Services division, which focuses on building a global approach to talent acquisition and retention. What You Will Do
- Act as a connector between business and IT, building and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
- Lead stakeholders in promoting value streams and breaking down silos to ensure the right business outcomes
- Structure problem statements and propose solutions, performing impact analysis of application changes across various components
- Hold an end-to-end view of the system, understanding customers' objectives, processes, and products
- Communicate the impact of functional design on downstream data sources and change management efforts
- Challenge leaders across business units in their assumptions about processes and scope to secure desired outcomes
- Oversee and lead business requirement gathering and analysis through business modeling
- Coordinate with business leaders to create executive presentations to secure steer, approval, and awareness
- Lead the strategic narrative of the initiative and scope throughout the lifetime of the project
- Identify interconnectivity between projects and manage stakeholders to optimize outputs
- Perform quality review checks on project deliverables
What We Are Looking For
- Master's degree preferred, with at least 7 years of experience in a similar position within the insurance industry
- Extensive exposure to policy systems, processes, and procedures
- Experience in claims and project management
- Strong business analysis skills, with the ability to understand customers' objectives and make educated recommendations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive business outcomes
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, with a strong emphasis on continuous learning and development
- Experience with business modeling and executive presentations
- Knowledge of insurance industry trends and regulations
Nice to Have
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- SAFE/Agile certification
- Previous experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Leader in insurance processes
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives and innovation projects
