About the Role

The Corporate Travel Consultant position at Flight Centre Travel Group is a unique opportunity to work as a dedicated travel expert for a globally recognized technology and software solutions company. This role requires a holistic approach to corporate travel, specializing in managing national and global travel programs for medium and large businesses. The successful candidate will become a seamless extension of the client's team, building rapport and delivering a highly personalized level of service.

As a Corporate Travel Consultant, day-to-day responsibilities will include arranging domestic and complex international travel for busy executives, including air, car, hotel, and ground transportation. The role also involves offering exceptional customer service to satisfy business travelers' needs, ensuring accurate and timely completion of reservations, and staying informed about airline rules, regulations, tariffs, and fare requirements.

The team context for this role involves working closely with the client's team to understand their travel needs and preferences, developing relationships with business travelers to ensure their needs are met, and collaborating with other travel professionals to provide a comprehensive travel management service.

What You Will Do

  • Arrange domestic and complex international travel for executives, including air, car, hotel, and ground transportation
  • Provide exceptional customer service to satisfy business travelers' needs
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of reservations
  • Stay informed about airline rules, regulations, tariffs, and fare requirements
  • Develop relationships with business travelers to understand their travel needs and preferences
  • Collaborate with other travel professionals to provide a comprehensive travel management service
  • Manage travel bookings, changes, and cancellations
  • Handle ticketing, exchanges, and refunds
  • Maintain accurate records of travel arrangements and expenses

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of recent experience in corporate travel management
  • In-depth familiarity with current Sabre GDS for fare calculations, itinerary management, and ticket issuance
  • Previous exposure to quality control processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Experience with other global distribution systems (GDS)
  • Knowledge of travel industry regulations and laws
