Job Description

About the Role

The Federal Sales Engineer will serve as the technical expert for Chainguard's Public Sector team, responsible for all technical aspects of the sales motion.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Public Sector sales team to develop and implement account plans
  • Collaborate with the Public Sector marketing team to develop brand awareness campaigns and grow pipeline
  • Conduct product demonstrations and proofs of value
  • Advocate for customers' needs within Chainguard

Requirements

  • Experience working with the DOD and/or IC side of the federal government
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Familiarity with accreditation and security policies like NIST 800-53, NIST 800-215, or FIPS 140-2 (or -3)

Nice to Have

  • Significant experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, container technologies, or AppSec
