About the Role

The Feedmill Hygiene Operative position at Avara Foods' Allensmore site is a critical component of the company's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene across its facilities. As a key member of the hygiene team, the successful candidate will work under the direction of the Hygiene Team Leader to ensure that all areas of the feed mill meet the required hygiene standards. What You Will Do

  • Work within the hygiene team under the direction of the Hygiene Team Leader to maintain hygiene standards across the facility.
  • Control daily spills and monitor product leaks to prevent contamination.
  • Operate wet and dry hoovering equipment and floor scrubbing equipment as needed.
  • Remove waste product and clean follow-up areas to prevent the spread of contamination.
  • Carry out daily housekeeping routines, either individually or as part of a team, including cleaning silos, coolers, and pits.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the Hygiene Team Leader, including monitoring pest control measures.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that all areas of the facility are maintained to the highest hygiene standards.
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of hygiene activities and outcomes.
