About the Role
The Field Director position at Pacific Life's Retirement Strategies Group is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a tangible impact on the company's annuity sales and retirement planning strategies. As a key member of the team, you will partner with field wholesalers to promote Pacific Life's annuity products, delivering presentations on various retirement planning topics and developing marketing collateral to support continuing education programs. Your expertise will be critical in driving sales growth and expanding the company's presence in the market.The role entails working closely with financial professionals, providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively advise their clients on retirement planning. Your deep understanding of tax rules governing IRAs, qualified plans, and non-qualified annuities will be invaluable in this context. Moreover, your ability to communicate complex planning strategies in an accessible and compelling manner will be essential in engaging both individuals and groups.
What You Will Do
- Partner with field wholesalers to promote Pacific Life's annuity products and develop sales strategies
- Deliver presentations on retirement planning topics, including Social Security, IRA distribution rules, and tax considerations
- Draft marketing collateral, educational materials, and presentations to support continuing education programs
- Conduct presentations for clients and financial professionals, clearly communicating complex planning strategies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to improve sales and marketing efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales and marketing strategies
- Provide training and support to financial professionals on Pacific Life's products and services
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies
- Develop and execute business plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market presence
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a professional designation such as JD, CPA, CFP, or RICP
- 10+ years of experience in annuity sales, with a deep understanding of tax rules governing IRAs, qualified plans, and non-qualified annuities
- 10+ years of experience in retirement asset accumulation, retirement income education, and small business planning
- Active FINRA Series 6 & 63 licenses and applicable state life insurance licenses
- Proven track record of success in sales and marketing, with a strong ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage both individuals and groups
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships

- Experience working in a remote environment, with a high level of autonomy and self-motivation
- Strong digital skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales automation tools
