About the Role
The Field Marketing Manager role at Twilio is a high-impact, high-autonomy position that requires a seasoned professional to design and execute end-to-end field marketing motions in Japan. As a key member of the marketing team, you will report to the VP of Marketing, APJ, and own the strategy and execution for one of Twilio's most important growth markets. Your expertise in GTM, Salesforce, and Excel will be crucial in driving pipeline creation, acceleration, and deal closure in close partnership with the Japan sales team.Twilio's remote-first culture and strong global inclusion mean that you will be part of a vibrant, diverse team making a global impact every day. As the primary marketing voice and driver for Japan, your success will be measured by your ability to connect marketing activity directly to pipeline and revenue outcomes. You will need to deeply understand the Japanese enterprise buying journey, build high-trust relationships with sales leadership and key partners, and apply your commercial acumen to drive results.
What You Will Do
- Design and execute a brand-to-revenue GTM strategy spanning the full funnel, from building market presence and brand credibility to driving pipeline creation and deal closure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the Japan sales team, SDRs, and Account Executives to support deal progression and close.
- Lead the Japan field marketing function across the full Brand-to-Revenue spectrum, including building brand awareness, generating and nurturing demand, and accelerating opportunities.
- Collaborate with central regional resources, specialist agencies, and the APJ Demand Creation HUB to amplify marketing efforts.
- Own and execute the Japan field marketing plan, ensuring alignment with Twilio's regional and global marketing strategies.
- Manage multiple concurrent programs without losing sight of commercial outcomes.
- Apply your analytical skills to measure the success of marketing activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and technologies to continuously improve marketing efforts.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure marketing activities are aligned with sales objectives and to provide feedback on marketing effectiveness.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in field marketing, preferably in the Japanese market, with a strong track record of building and executing successful GTM programs.
- Expertise in GTM, Salesforce, and Excel, with the ability to analyze data to inform marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding of the Japanese enterprise buying journey and the ability to build high-trust relationships with sales leadership and key partners.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to connect marketing activity directly to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
- Experience in managing multiple concurrent programs and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in Japanese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing strategies.
