About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer at GE Vernova, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, commissioning, and maintenance of high-voltage systems, including power transformers and switchgear. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering exceptional service and quality products to clients, enhancing GE Vernova's commitment to the European Energy Transition. What You Will Do

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance service work on power transformers and/or AIS circuit breakers & disconnectors and/or GIS switchgear in the high and medium voltage range.
  • Install the latest high-voltage technology and ensure the continued operation of proven technology.
  • Troubleshoot, disassemble, and assemble components of high-voltage systems.
  • Repair and manufacture spare parts at customer sites and/or in the service workshop.
  • Handle work equipment, measuring instruments, and devices professionally and properly.
  • Execute rework and modifications as required.
  • Consistently adhere to GEV's ethics guidelines.
  • Collaborate with international teams to drive projects forward and achieve common goals.
  • Travel domestically and internationally for work, as required.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and work instructions during all aspects of your work.

What We Are Looking For

  • Completed vocational training or equivalent education as an electrical technician (e.g., electrician, electronics technician, industrial mechatronics technician, or master craftsman/technician) or similar.
  • Experience and willingness to work in customer service, ideally with experience working with transformers and/or AIS and GIS switchgear.
  • Willingness to work in low-, medium-, and/or high-voltage systems.
  • Strong initiative, goal-driven orientation, flexibility, and interest in personal and professional development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Driver's license class B.
  • English and Polish language skills (both written and spoken), with German or French being a plus.

  • Experience with project management tools and software.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in the electrical industry.
  • Certification in a related field (e.g., electrical engineering, mechatronics).
