About the Role
As a Filmmaker at Ramp, you'll be responsible for creating cinematic customer stories that celebrate the people and businesses using Ramp to achieve extraordinary things. You'll work closely with the Customer Creative Director to develop innovative storytelling techniques that break the mold of traditional B2B customer stories. Your films will be character-led, entertainment-first, and designed to inspire and engage audiences.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of every aspect of the filmmaking process, from pre-production to post-production, and will be comfortable working independently to deliver high-quality results. You'll be expected to have a strong editorial eye, with the ability to edit your own work and make sound creative decisions.

What You Will Do
- Shoot and edit customer stories films in an entertaining and cinematic manner
- Influence pre-production phase and own production phase, including scouting, shot lists, pre-interviews, camera, lighting, and direction on set
- Build out Ramp's NYC equipment kit, specifying, sourcing, and owning the latest film production and editing tools
- Pull social derivative cuts from every shoot, generating content across paid, organic, and sales channels
- Communicate and liaise with cross-functional partners to explain creative decisions and edits
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Ramp's brand voice and visual identity
- Collaborate with the Customer Creative Director to develop innovative storytelling techniques and concepts
- Stay up-to-date with the latest film production and editing trends, technologies, and best practices
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
- Provide feedback and guidance to junior team members, helping to develop their skills and expertise
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of film production experience across a mix of commercial and documentary-style work
- A self-shooter who owns the edit, with a strong understanding of camera and post-production techniques
- Character-driven work on your reel, with the ability to find the human story inside a business context
- A background in indie filmmaking, post-production houses, or film-leaning production houses
- Strong editorial eye, with the ability to edit your own work and make sound creative decisions
- Experience shipping social-cut formats, with the ability to pull a 30-second cut from a 5-minute doc without losing what makes it work
- Understanding of how to draw out the value customers get with Ramp, whilst wrapping it in a compelling narrative
- Comfortable working as the only person on a shoot, with the ability to direct a small crew when necessary
- Familiarity with AI editing and post tools, such as Descript, Runway, and Adobe AI
- Based in NYC, with the ability to work remotely as needed

- Strong stills photography on your reel, with the ability to capture high-quality images
- Drone certification, with experience using drones to capture aerial footage
- Strong connections to the film-making industry, including editors, sound, and lighting collaborators
