## About the Role As a Financial Analyst II at NerdWallet, you will be an integral part of the corporate finance team, responsible for providing critical financial insights that drive business decisions. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management. You will work closely with the Director of Corporate Finance and other senior stakeholders to ensure that financial planning and analysis are aligned with the company's strategic objectives. ## What You Will Do - Partner with stakeholders across assigned departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management - Build, maintain, and improve financial models used for planning and decision-making - Track and report on performance against KPIs, budgets, and forecasts, highlighting key variances and trends - Prepare recurring financial reports and variance analyses, identifying risks and opportunities - Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for both finance and non-finance audiences - Collaborate with Accounting during month-end close, including accruals and expense tracking - Support annual planning cycles and periodic forecasts by compiling data, validating assumptions, and modeling scenarios - Contribute to improving financial processes, reporting, and systems with a focus on efficiency and scalability - Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing timely and accurate financial analysis and support - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in financial planning and analysis
## What We Are Looking For - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field - 3+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, accounting, or related analytical roles - Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel / Google Sheets - Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes - Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines - Strong business acumen, with a focus on driving business growth and improvement - Experience with financial reporting, planning, and analysis tools and systems - Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality
