Financial Analyst II (Corporate Finance)

## About the Role As a Financial Analyst II at NerdWallet, you will be an integral part of the corporate finance team, responsible for providing critical financial insights that drive business decisions. ## What You Will Do - Partner with stakeholders across assigned departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and expense management - Build, maintain, and improve financial models used for planning and decision-making - Track and report on performance against KPIs, budgets, and forecasts, highlighting key variances and trends - Prepare recurring financial reports and variance analyses, identifying risks and opportunities - Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for both finance and non-finance audiences - Collaborate with Accounting during month-end close, including accruals and expense tracking - Support annual planning cycles and periodic forecasts by compiling data, validating assumptions, and modeling scenarios - Contribute to improving financial processes, reporting, and systems with a focus on efficiency and scalability - Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing timely and accurate financial analysis and support - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in financial planning and analysis

## What We Are Looking For - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field - 3+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, accounting, or related analytical roles - Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel / Google Sheets - Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes - Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines - Strong business acumen, with a focus on driving business growth and improvement - Experience with financial reporting, planning, and analysis tools and systems - Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality

## Nice to Have - Experience with AI and automation tools, such as machine learning or robotics process automation - Certification in finance or accounting, such as CFA or CPA - Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment - Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI - Experience with cloud-based financial planning and analysis tools, such as Anaplan or Adaptive Insights
