Job Description

About the Role

The Financial Analyst role at Q2 Software is a key position in the FP&A FinOps team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial forecasts and reports. This role ensures that business leaders have a unified view of the company's financial performance, enabling informed decision-making. As a Financial Analyst, you will work closely with various teams, including Accounting, HR, and Procurement, to validate inputs and maintain data consistency.

The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-oriented analyst who enjoys working with financial data, systems, and processes. You will have the opportunity to develop deep financial and systems expertise and grow into broader FP&A and business partnering roles over time.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast costs and revenues
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Create reports to track key business metrics and communicate results to Senior Management
  • Identify and address data discrepancies and variances
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate inputs and ensure data consistency
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to business leaders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial analysis
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in a finance-related role
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting practices
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Experience with financial services, information technology, or software industries
