The day-to-day responsibilities of the Financial Controller will include managing financial reporting, accounting operations, and budgeting activities. This will involve preparing monthly management reporting and financial insights for senior stakeholders, monitoring financial and operational risks, and recommending appropriate controls. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and improving financial controls, reporting processes, and operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable financial standards and internal governance requirements.
What You Will Do
- Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, and forecasting activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and improve financial controls, reporting processes, and operational procedures to drive efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance financial performance
- Prepare monthly management reporting and financial insights for senior stakeholders to inform business decisions and drive strategic planning
- Monitor financial and operational risks and recommend appropriate controls to mitigate potential threats to the business
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with external accounting and advisory partners to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support strategic financial planning and performance analysis to drive business growth and improvement
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business planning and decision-making
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for process enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across international teams to drive financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategic plans to achieve business objectives
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial standards and internal governance requirements to minimize risk and maintain stakeholder trust
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
- Proven experience operating in a senior finance, controllership, or financial leadership role
- Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management
- Experience improving finance processes, controls, and operational reporting
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced proficiency with accounting systems, spreadsheets, and financial analysis tools
- Professional qualification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent is advantageous
- Experience working within fast-paced international businesses
- Experience supporting remote or distributed global teams
- Exposure to digital, technology, fintech, entertainment, or online platform businesses is beneficial
