About the Role

The FinTech Account Manager role at Plaid is a critical position that requires building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic customers. As a key member of the Account Management team, you will leverage your deep technical, product, and industry knowledge to help FinTech-focused customers build and scale amazing applications. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include working closely with customers to understand their priorities, motives, and key drivers, and developing tailored solutions to meet their needs.

You will work with a portfolio of strategic customers, including long-term partners and large, strategic clients, to deepen relationships and foster growth. Plaid's network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK, and Europe, providing a comprehensive platform for FinTech companies to connect with their customers. As an Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of customers, from startups to established companies, and help them navigate the complex FinTech landscape.

What You Will Do

  • Own the overall relationship with your portfolio of customers in the FinTech segment
  • Build relationships with C-Suite and senior stakeholders to understand their priorities and develop tailored solutions
  • Work closely with customers to integrate, scale, and expand their products and services
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth and revenue
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to drive customer success
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to resolve issues and address concerns
  • Analyze customer data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the FinTech industry and Plaid's products and services
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective customers

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in account management or a related field, preferably in the FinTech industry
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with strategic customers
  • Deep understanding of the FinTech industry and its trends, challenges, and opportunities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive customer success
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or economics
  • Strong knowledge of Plaid's products and services, or ability to quickly learn

  • Experience working with FinTech companies, such as payments, lending, or investing
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with sales and marketing principles, including CRM and sales analytics
  • Certification in account management or a related field
  • Fluency in multiple languages
